Day 2–4 · By Asha

A hand-drawn cartoon goes to you for sign-off. Tweak a curl of an ear, the slope of a letter — nothing begins until you say so.

We stitch

Day 5–11 · By hand

Thirty to forty hours at the frame in Ludhiana. Silk and cashmere thread, one needle, no machines.

Finish & bless

Day 12 · In Como

Hand-washed in alpine water, blocked, pressed, signed. A handwritten note from the maker is folded into the wrapping.

Day 13–14 · Courier

In a linen sleeve inside a hand-stamped wooden box. With it: a card naming the maker, the day, and the thread count.

What makes a good reference photograph?

Natural daylight, the subject roughly head-on, eyes open and visible. Avoid heavy filters and harsh flash. A phone photo at original resolution is usually perfect — we don't need a studio shoot. If yours isn't quite right, we'll tell you and ask for another at no cost.

Can you embroider more than one subject?

Yes. Up to three subjects per piece — pets, people, or a mixture. A second subject adds £85.00; a third adds £150.00. Send all references together, in one upload, with names.

Is personalisation returnable?

Once the needle has gone in, a piece can't quite belong to anyone else — so personalised orders are final sale. If something has gone wrong on our end we will remake it without question, within thirty days of receipt.

Do you offer gift wrapping and concealed pricing?

All personalised pieces ship in our hand-stamped wooden box with a linen sleeve and a hand-written card from the maker. Receipts are never included in the parcel; we e-mail them separately. Add a personal message at checkout for £0.00.

Can I commission matching pieces?

Yes — a popular request for weddings and christenings. Tell us how many, and any small variations. Sets of four or more get a complimentary set-up and a single shared certificate naming all recipients.

How do I care for a personalised piece?

Lukewarm hand-wash in alpine soap (we include a sachet), or send it back to us once a year for re-blocking and a free repair — for the lifetime of the piece. We never recommend dry cleaning for embroidered cashmere.

Can I commission for a memorial?

We're honoured to. Write to us with a note and we'll prioritise the order. Memorial commissions include a small additional detail — a name and date stitched in matching thread on the reverse hem, gratis.
