Baby cashmere is genuinely different. It comes from the first shearing of a kid goat, under a year old. Fibre diameter as fine as 12–14 microns — one of the finest natural fibres in existence.
Why it works for babies
- Softness — no scratch, no irritation
- Thermoregulation — warm without overheating
- Breathability — 40% more than merino, 3x cotton
- Hypoallergenic — does not hold dust mites or pollen
Is cashmere safe for a newborn?
Overheating
Natural thermoregulator. Wicks moisture while trapping air. Babies sleep cooler in summer, warmer in winter.
Skin reactions
Genuine cashmere is one of the least reactive natural fibres. Wool allergy (lanolin) is not the same as cashmere allergy.
Loose fibres
New cashmere sheds slightly in the first few washes. Pre-wash before first use.

Why parents choose cashmere over cotton
Cotton absorbs sweat and holds it against skin. Cashmere wicks moisture and regulates temperature. One blanket does the work of two or three cotton ones.
